Eagle Houston

Eagle Houston at 611 Hyde Park Blvd in Montrose served Houston’s leather, bear, and kink communities as part of the national Eagle bar network for years. Spanning two floors with a patio and a mix of leather bar staples and DJ nights, Eagle Houston was a cornerstone of the Montrose LGBTQ+ scene. The bar closed July 11, 2025 following a landlord dispute; the location subsequently reopened as Varsity Bar under owner Jeff Harmon.
