From Oak Lawn's Cedar Springs strip — the heartbeat of Dallas queer nightlife — to Fort Worth's steadily growing LGBTQ+ community, the Metroplex delivers bars, nonprofits, drag, and advocacy across more than a dozen cities. Dallas's Oak Lawn neighborhood is the undisputed center of DFW queer life. Cedar Springs Road is lined with some of Texas's most legendary LGBTQ+ venues — including the iconic Station 4, a 24,000-square-foot mega-venue with 15+ bars, a massive patio, and the world-famous Rose Room drag theater. The strip also hosts long-running institutions like The Round-Up Saloon, the largest LGBTQ+ country bar in the United States.

The Muhlaysia Booker Foundation — named for the Dallas transgender woman murdered in 2019 — works to protect and uplift trans women of color. Dallas Southern Pride celebrates Black queer culture with an annual festival that draws thousands.
